    Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrive at Leh by Flight (approx altitude 11,200 ft) - Day at leisure to  acclimatize
    Arrive at Leh airport early morning. Proceed to a hotel in Leh. Full day at leisure where participants are advised to take maximum rest for acclimatization. Evening we will go for a small walk in the nearby local market.
    Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

    Day 2: Leh Sightseeing (approx altitude 11,200 ft)
    Post breakfast, visit Thiksey Monastery and witness the Maitreya temple with a 49 feet high statue covering two stories of the building. Later head towards Shey Palace, the summer capital of Ladakh in the past. Visit Sindhu Ghat and return to Leh for Lunch. Post lunch visit the “Hall of Fame” Museum of the Indian Army and witness the beautiful setting sun from Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

    Day 3: Leh to Nubra valley (approx. 126 kms, 5-6 hrs drive, approx altitude 10,300 ft)
    Today we have an early breakfast and leave for Nubra valley. En route we will be stopping at the famous Khardung-la pass (highest motorable road in India at 18,380 ft). The pass offers spectacular views of the Zanskar range across the Indus Valley in the south, and the Saser massif in the north. We will proceed for Nubra towards our camp. 

    In the evening, we head for the famous sand dunes of Ladakh in Hunder & enjoy double humped camel safari in the sand dunes. Overnight stay at a camp in Nubra Valley.

    Day 4: Diskit Monastery - Maitreya Buddha - Leh (11,200 Ft)
    Post breakfast, visit Diskit Monastery - the oldest and largest monastery in Nubra valley followed by a visit to the 106 ft., Maitreya Buddha statue. Lunch enroute and drive back to Leh. Reach Leh by evening. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

    Day 5:  Leh to Pangong lake (approx. 150 kms, 6-7 hrs drive, approx altitude 14,500 ft)
    Post breakfast, drive to Pangong Tso - World’s highest salt water lake via Chang la. Chang La is the third highest motorable road in the world at an altitude of 17,585 feet. Spend the evening on the banks of Pangong. Overnight stay at a camp besides Pangong Tso. Altitude during night halt : 14000 feet (approx.)

    Day 6: Pangong Tso to Leh (11,200 ft)
    After a wonderful sunrise and an amazing photoshoot by the Pangong Tso, drive back towards Leh. Reach Leh by evening. Free time for shopping in Leh market. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

    Day 7: Departure from Leh.
    Trip ends with a bag full of memories and photos. Take a flight back home from Leh.
