Located beside the beautiful Kundalika river, this camp offers a chance for the explore and unleash the adventurer within the children through an action-packed series of activities.    

Through various individual rope based adventure activities one can overcome factors like fear and through various team-based activities, the participant understands the importance of being a team player and the importance of working in a team.

Activities like Wilderness Survival Tips and demonstrations will give the participants an edge of learning real-life skills and actual hands-on experience of the same.

Itinerary

Day 1 :  Pune to Kundalika 

Report at Foliage Outdoors office on Karve Road at 0630 hours. Leave from Pune at 0700 hours. Breakfast enroute at Mulshi. Arrive at the campsite by 1130 hrs.  Introduction to campsite, followed by an interactive ice - breaking session to get introduced to fellow campers. Lunch followed by rest. 

Orientation session regarding overall plan of activities for the entire duration of the camp followed by unique set of activities focusing upon “navigation” and “orientation” in the outdoors. 

Gear up to start with a series of team based games and outdoor activities. A short session on introduction to “adventure gear and equipment”. 

Time for skit preparation (team wise). Dinner and Lights Off. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 2 : Nature trail, adventure activities and Raft Building and Lake Crossing

Get up close and personal with nature as we go on a trail today morning. Learn about lesser flora and fauna around. Get introduced to basics of bird watching and bird identification followed by breakfast. Post breakfast, engage in the thrill of a Rope Course along with adventure activities like Zip Line and Burma Bridge. Lunch followed by rest. Evening session of Survival life skill - “Raft building and lake crossing”

Raft Building - A survival activity which involves a lot of planning and applying innovation while you construct a raft out of limited and available resources in a stipulated time period. This will focus upon the “problem solving” and “resource management” aspects of the activity. 

Lake Crossing - Using the raft made out of available resources the teams have to cross a lake and complete a task allotted to them. This will focus upon the “risk taking ability” and “team cohesion” among the participants.   

As the evening sets, the group will be engaged in a session of “techniques of lifts and carriages” in case of any emergency evacuation in wilderness.

Day 3 : Navigation Skills and Survival Skills 

Post breakfast engage in a unique activity based scavenger hunt while getting the know hows of Navigation in the outdoors. Lunch and rest. 

Evening assemble for a session of Wilderness Survival Life Skills - Learn how to boil an egg without water, cook survival food, ethics of campfire, tent pitching, different uses of trash bags other than a trash bag, learn about emergency response protocol, essentials to carry while in outdoors, learn how to make makeshift bandages out of t-shirts and pants, learn how to improvise in case of lifting/carrying a person.

Day 4 : Power House Plant Visit  

Post breakfast leave for the Power house plant visit. Know more about the hydro power generation, storage and distribution of the energy from the grid. Return to the Campsite for Lunch.

Post Lunch after a memorable camp closure session, drive back to Pune at around 1500 hrs. Reach Foliage Outdoors office on Karve road by 1830 hours.

What is included in the tour

  • Pune to Pune escorted trip.

  • Mineral water / cold drinks during journey or at the campsite.

VTP concentrates on training of team members in Child psychology, children behaviour, Camp activities, Storytelling, Rifle shooting, etc.

Team capabilities:
A strong, qualified, and professional team trained in medicine and safety protocol accompanies your child. We have a standing ratio of no more than 10 : 1 (Participants : Instructor), to ensure complete safety and comfort of our participants. All our team members undertake refresher course at regular intervals and have hands-on experience in dealing with various situations.

Lady Instructor or Girl Volunteer:
All our camps have at least one Lady Instructor to take care of all our girl participants.

First Aid and Medical back-up facility:
In case of an emergency, our team is trained to provide first aid and CPR. All camps are well-connected to the nearest hospital and some have doctors-on-call as well.
