Valley of Flowers Trek 

Considered by many as one of the most beautiful places in India, the Valley of Flowers tucked into the hills of the Garhwal Himalayas is a nature lover's dream come true. During the months of July and August, innumerable flowers of various shapes, sizes and hues adorn the valley creating a veritable multicolored carpet. The valley is home to over 300 Colorful species including Morinas, Himalayan Blue Poppy, Brahma Kamal, Potentilla, Aster, Lilies etc.

British mountaineer Frank Smythe stumbled upon the Valley of Flowers in 1931. ‘In all my mountain wandering,’ he wrote, ‘I have not seen a more beautiful valley where the human spirit may find repose'. It’s in the core zone of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. A colossal expanse of 87.5 sq kms and myriad alpine flowers makes this place a colorful paradise. Perched at an altitude of 12070 feet above sea level, Bhyundar Valley is the home to this surreal place.

It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Delhi - Haridwar | Overnight AC Travel to Haridwar

Report at New Delhi  Airport by 1730 hrs. Travel overnight to Haridwar by Volvo/Train.
You may join us at Rishikesh on Day 2 (Early Morning) as well should you prefer to fly to Dehradun. Dehradun airport to Rishikesh is approximately 25 kms.
(Do get in touch with us to make your travel arrangements from your hometown to New Delhi / Dehradun and stay at Dehradun).

Day 2 : Haridwar - Auli | Overnight at Auli

Approximate distance/ Travel time : 258 kms / 9-10 hrs
Reach Haridwar in the morning. Proceed via Rishikesh to Auli by road.
This picturesque drive will be alongside River Alaknanda. Lunch will be en route. We will take small photography break to see the confluence of two rivers at Devprayag. Other “Prayags” that we will see en route would be Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag and Nandprayag.

Day 3:  Auli - Govindghat - Ghangaria | Overnight at Ghangaria

Approximate distance/ Travel time : 27 kms/ 1.5 hrs (Drive)
Trek distance / time : 11 kms., 7-8 Hours Trek
Post an early  breakfast, drive to the small town of Govindghat. Here we leave our vehicles behind and start our trek to Ghangaria. Today's trek will be long but scenic, along the Pushpawati River. Lunch will be en route. Reach Ghangaria by evening. Ponies are available on this route.

Day 4: Ghangaria - Valley of Flowers (12,000 ft.) - Ghangaria | Overnight at Ghangaria.

Trek distance / time : 11 kms., 7-8 Hours Trek
Post an early breakfast , we start for the most awaited trek, the valley of flowers. Today’s trek will take us through the most scenic mountains and valleys. Stop along the way to take photos and enjoy the majestic beauty of the snow-capped peaks. Enjoy lunch (packed) inside the National Park. Ponies are not available on this route.
Return to Ghangaria by late afternoon.

Day 5: Ghangaria - Hemkund (14,200 ft.) - Ghangaria | 12 Kms., 9-10 Hours Trek | Overnight at Ghangaria.

Trek distance / time : 12 Kms., 9-10 Hours Trek
Today we visit the holy Hemkund Sahib. We start our trek early and reach Hemkund - a glacial lake surrounded by seven mountain peaks. It is located at an elevation of 14,200 feet.
This trek route is more difficult than of Valley Of Flowers but definitely worth the efforts as we will have the opportunity to see the elusive Brahmakamal, a beautiful flower which is not seen in the Valley. Ponies are available on this route.
Return to Ghangria by evening.

Day 6: Ghangaria - Govindghat - Auli | Overnight at Auli

Trek distance / time : 11 Kms.,6 - 7 Hours Trek
Distance/ Travel time : 27 kms/ 1.5 hrs (Drive)
Today we descend back to Govindghat. Have lunch and drive to Auli.
Reach Auli by evening. Freshen up and rest.
Overnight at Auli in Hotel.

Day 7: Auli - Shivpuri | Overnight at Shivpuri

Approximate distance / Travel time : 188 kms/ 5-6 hrs (Drive)
Post breakfast, drive to Shivpuri. Lunch will be en route. Reach Shivpuri by afternoon. Freshen up and rest. Enjoy a slow paced evening besides river Ganga.

Day 8: Shivpuri - Dehradun | Overnight Travel to Delhi

Day at leisure.
Post lunch proceed to Dehradun by road. En route visit Rishikesh.
Overnight travel to Delhi by Volvo/Train.

Day 9 : Arrival at Delhi - Fly Out | Tour Ends

Arrive at Delhi early morning.
Time to say goodbye to your fellow travellers till we meet again to share the images and memories of the time spent in the mighty Himalayas.

Camp Charges

Adult: Rs.30,700/- + 5% GST per person

Child: Rs.26,200/- + 5% GST per person (Sharing same room with 2 Adults)
