Perched at an altitude of 3,500 MSL, this heaven is always cool and windy. Just 14 kms away from Panchgani town, it is cut off from the touristy chaos of Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani. The moist evergreen forests of the Sahyadris gently give way to Deccan Grasslands. Andharban Forest Trek Andharban, hosts a long-rooted stretch of evergreen forest. The forest is so dense, that the sun rays indented upon it, find it very difficult to make it to the forest floor. Spectacular views of Kundalika Gorge, Tel Baila Fort and Bhira reservoir vibe its grace to all trekkers onboard . Colourful Wild flowers add to the beauty of its verdant landscape. The hike is (2,030) ft above sea level. Sudhagad is a popular trekking destination as it is one of the better preserved forts in Maharashtra. On the slopes of the fort there are trees of Pandhri which are used to make a popular walking stick. Beautiful other forts like Sarasgad, Korigad, Ghangad, Taila-Baila are clearly visible.
