    Itinerary

    DAY 01: ARRIVAL LEH

    Upon arrival at the Leh Airport, you will be received by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Since you are arriving at 11000 ft, we strongly recommend taking complete rest & drinking plenty of water on the first day where you should not indulge yourself in any strenuous activity to get acclimatized. Full day at Rest. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

     

    DAY 02: SPITUK, THIKSEY MONASTERY, SANGAM & SHANTI STUPA (70kms round trip / approx 4 HRS)

    After breakfast, we will drive alongside the bank of the Indus river till Sangam, to witness the confluence of the Zanskar River and Indus River. En route, we will be visiting the Hall of Fame (which has a museum of the Kargil War). Later this afternoon we will visit the spectacular Thiksey Monastery and Sindhu Ghat. Return to your hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

     

    DAY 03: LEH TO KHARDUNG LA TO NUBRA VALLEY (140 KMS / APPROX 05-06 HRS)

    We will start our journey to Nubra Valley over Khardungla, which is the World's highest motorable road at 18,832 feet above sea level. Drive through the Valley which is extremely beautiful for photography. This evening we will visit the Hunder sand dunes and get the sight of the Double Hump Bactrian camels (camel ride to be on a direct payment basis). Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp. 

     

    DAY 04: NUBRA TO TURTUK EXCURSION (180 Kms/ 5 – 6 Hrs round trip)
    After breakfast drive to Turtuk which is a place Annexed by India only after the 1971 war, the village of Turtukis one of the only Balti villages in India and lies right next to the LOC.  Return to Hunder by the evening. Overnight stay in Nubra. 

     

    DAY 05: NUBRA TO PANGONG LAKE (165 KMS / APPROX 05-06 HRS TOTAL)

    After breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake at 14, 500 ft. via Agham & Shyok village and reach Pangong Lake. Pangong, is the highest saltwater lake in the world. Check in to your respective camps. Pangong is a stunningly beautiful high-altitude wetland. Dinner & Overnight stay at the camp.

     

    Day 06 :PANGONG LAKE TO LEH  VIA  REZANG LA WAR MEMORIAL , KAKSANG LA (17834 ft), MIRPAL TSO and YAYA TSO,   ( 240 KM / 8-9 Hrs ): 

    After breakfast leaves for Chushul village (Rezangla War Memorial) and later drive to Leh via Kaksang La 17834 ft, Mirpal Tso and Yaya to.  Driving along with these beautiful lakes and the unique colour of the mountains, we can see Tibetan Wild ass (Kyang ) and a few rare birds like Black-necked Crane.  Chushul is one of the four officially agreed BPM (Border Personnel Meeting) points between the Indian Army and the People Liberation Army of  China for regular consultations and interactions between the two armies, which helps in defusing face-offs. We can view the army post from a long way since the general public is not allowed nearby. After crossing Yaya to drive along the Indus Valley till Leh. Overnight at Leh. 

     

    DAY 07: Tour of Hemis Monastery. Local Market visit. 

    After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45km west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. 

    Later, visit the Shanti Stupa and local Market for shopping. Return to your hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

     

    DAY 08: DEPARTURE FROM LEH - After breakfast, depart to Leh airport to board the flight back for an onward journey with beautiful memories.
