    What Participants Will Learn

    Core Trekking Skills & Mountain Safety
    -How to walk on Himalayan mountain trails during the Deoriatal, Tungnath and Chandrashila treks (ascents, descents, pacing, taking regular breaks).
    -Basics of altitude awareness around 8,000–13,000 ft, understanding changing mountain weather and strictly following trek leaders’ safety instructions.

    Camping & Outdoor Skills
    -Tent living at Rishikesh, Chopta and Kaudiyala: organising personal gear, keeping tents neat and shared spaces clean.
    -Camp hygiene, responsible use of water and simple “leave no trace” practices to protect the Himalayan environment.

    River & Rafting Safety
    -Basics of white‑water rafting on the Ganges: listening to raft commands, paddling as a team and staying calm on the water.
    -Correct use of life jackets, helmets and safety gear; understanding safe behaviour near a mountain river (no unsupervised entry, respecting river currents).

    Fitness, Endurance & Mental Resilience
    -Importance of warm‑up, stretching, hydration and proper nutrition on trekking and travel days.
    -Building stamina on the Deoriatal and Tungnath–Chandrashila treks; learning to handle fatigue, steep sections and long days while staying positive.

    Teamwork, Communication & Leadership
    -Working in small groups during treks, bus journeys, campsite routines and games.
    -Taking turns in simple leadership roles (pace‑setter on the trail, timekeeper, tent and cleanliness in‑charge) and practising clear, respectful communication with peers and leaders.

    Environment & Culture
    -Understanding the fragile Himalayan ecosystem in the Chopta–Deoriatal region: forests, meadows, high‑altitude lakes and birds like the Himalayan Monal.
    -Exposure to the cultural and spiritual importance of the Ganga, the river confluences (Devprayag, Rudraprayag) and Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world.

    Independence & Confidence Away from Home
    -Managing daily routines independently: packing day bags, keeping track of jackets, caps and water bottles, and following schedules without constant reminders.
    -Gaining confidence by travelling with a group (flights, long road journeys, treks and rafting) and successfully completing a multi‑day Himalayan adventure away from home.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Fly to Delhi – Proceed to Rishikesh – Camp Arrival & Orientation
Board the morning flight from Pune to Delhi. Upon arrival, proceed to Rishikesh by a chartered AC bus.
Lunch en route. Arrive at the riverside campsite by afternoon. Tent allocation followed by a briefing session.
Engage in an ice-breaking session with fun introductory games.In the evening, children get some supervised free time, followed by a wholesome dinner. Overnight stay at Rishikesh.

Day 2 : Kaudiyala to Chopta
Post breakfast, leave for Chopta.The drive is very scenic, following the rivers Ganges and Alaknanda, with views of famous river confluences at Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Camp leaders will point out interesting sights along the way.
Post-lunch arrival at the Chopta campsite. This will be followed by an orientation about the Chopta region and the upcoming treks, and an evening planning session with clear briefings on safety and schedules for the next day’s trek. Overnight stay at Chopta.

Day 3 : Chopta - Deoriatal Trek (8,000 Ft.)  - Chopta
Post breakfast, the children will set out for a guided trek to Deoriatal, a beautiful high-altitude lake situated at around 8,000 ft. This easy-to-moderate trek will be done at a comfortable pace suitable for children, taking them through forested trails with potential views of snow-clad peaks, weather permitting. At Deoriatal, they will have time to enjoy the serene setting and the reflections of the mighty Chaukhamba peak in the crystal-clear lake, before trekking back to Chopta by evening.
Upon their return, there will be relaxation time, group activities, and an early lights-out as per the camp schedule. Overnight stay at Chopta.

Day 4 : Chopta - Trek to Tungnath (12,075 Ft.) and Chandrashila peak (13,000 Ft.) - Chopta 
After breakfast, the group will begin the trek towards Tungnath and Chandrashila, led by experienced trek leaders. They will walk through meadows and rhododendron forests to reach Tungnath, known as the highest Shiva temple in the world. Children who are deemed fit and cleared by the trek leaders will then proceed further up to Chandrashila peak, approximately 13,000 ft, in a carefully monitored, guided group. En route, they may spot various Himalayan birds, such as the Himalayan Monal, as they experience the endless green meadows and panoramic Himalayan views of the Chopta region. The pace will be controlled, with regular breaks, hydration, and safety checks. After enjoying the views, the group will return to Chopta by evening.Overnight stay at Chopta.

Day 5 : Chopta - Kaudiyala
Wake-up call, followed by breakfast. Drive down to the Kaudiyala campsite, enjoying lunch en route. Upon arrival, relax for a while before heading out for a short, supervised walk along the banks of the Ganges. Children can enjoy the scenery and click photographs (strictly no unsupervised river entry permitted). Overnight stay at Kaudiyala.

Day 6 : Rafting on the Ganges
After breakfast, children get ready for a white water rafting session on the Ganges, conducted by certified river guides with full safety gear.
The rafting stretch and difficulty level are chosen keeping children’s age and safety in mind, and non‑participants join alternate supervised activities at the campsite.
Return to the campsite for lunch, with free time to relax and pack, followed by a Camp Closing Ceremony with sharing of experiences and group interactions. Overnight stay at Rishikesh.

Day 7: Return to Delhi – Fly Back to Pune
After an early breakfast, check out from the campsite and proceed to Delhi by AC bus, with lunch en route.
Arrive at Delhi Airport and board the flight back to Pune with wonderful memories of the Himalayan summer camp.

  • Food charges as mentioned in the itinerary from the campsite, ex‑Rishikesh, i.e.
    from Day 1 Evening Snacks & Dinner (on arrival at the Rishikesh campsite) up to Day 7 Breakfast (before departure for Delhi).
  • Accommodation in tents at the campsite on a multiple-sharing basis.
