Located at the Indo-Nepal border, the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve spans over 1,230 sq km comprising Dudhwa National Park, Kishanpur and Katarniaghat Wildlife sanctuaries. Pilibhit Tiger Reserve is a recent entrant to Project Tiger, notified in June 2014. All these forests are located in the extremely fertile Indo-Gangetic plains and support tremendous floral and faunal diversity. These diverse landscapes are home to a healthy number of Tigers, leopards, Sambar, Cheetal, Hog deer, Swamp deer, Sloth bear, Leopard and Asian Elephant. Dudhwa is home to the endangered One-horned Rhino. It's possible to see a healthy number of the endangered Long-snouted Crocodile aka Gharial at Katarniaghat. Day 1:Arrival in Bareilly and proceed to Pilibhit Tiger Reserve
Assemble at Bareilly Airport at 1430 hrs. Departure to Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (approx 3 hrs drive with birding and food stops en route). Arrival at a Homestay for evening tea. Dinner and oernight stay at a rustic homestay near Pilibhit Tiger Reserve
