Overview

Recommended for All Ages

The source of the Nile River starts in the Rwenzoris, Africa’s tallest mountain range that stretches across western Uganda shrouded in mist and teeming with glaciers, waterfalls and alpine lakes. These ‘mountains of the moon’ are the home of the World's last remaining Mountain Gorillas and tracking them through this majestic habitat is one of the country’s most iconic experiences. The Bwindi Impenetrable forest is a World Heritage Site and home to about 350 Mountain Gorillas! At the Queen Elizabeth national park, you're guaranteed to see a large range of wildlife, including giraffes, lions, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and elephants! The famous tree-climbing lions of the park are a fascinating highlight! The rich birdlife too is a major attraction. The Kazinga Channel is a wide, 32-KM natural waterway, famous for its incredible wildlife, connecting Lake George and Lake Edward within Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering unforgettable boat cruises to see large numbers of hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, elephants, and diverse birdlife, making it a prime spot for wildlife viewing and safaris in East Africa!
