Rehekuri Wildlife Sanctuary — Winter Birding & Wildlife
Explore the grasslands of Rehekuri Wildlife Sanctuary on a day visit with Foliage Outdoors. Walk wide-open scrublands famed for graceful blackbucks and chinkara; sightings of Indian wolf, fox and jackal are extremely rare — they can occasionally be seen if you’re lucky. In winter, the sanctuary hosts migrants such as Black-headed and Grey-necked Buntings, Red-breasted Flycatcher and several harrier species, alongside residents like Indian Roller and Desert Wheatear. Travel with our expert naturalists for guided birding and photography, just a short drive from Pune.

0630 hrs: Reporting at Foliage Outdoors Office, Kothrud.
0645 hrs: Depart for Rehekuri Wildlife Sanctuary; breakfast en route.
1100 hrs: Arrive at Rehekuri and explore the sanctuary. Observe wildlife and the interconnections of this grassland ecosystem, famed for its blackbucks.
1300 hrs: Lunch.
1330–1430 hrs: Guided birding walk led by our naturalist. We will move slowly across grassland patches and to vantage points/watchtowers to scan for buntings, flycatchers, harriers, Indian Roller, Desert Wheatear and other open-country species.
1500 hrs: Depart for Pune.
1630 hrs: Hi‑tea and washroom break.
1830 hrs: Return to Foliage Outdoors Office, Kothrud.
