  • The camp fee excludes airfare; flights to and from Delhi are to be booked and paid for separately.
  • The trip requires a moderate level of fitness, with daily walks and treks on mountain trails.
  • The itinerary includes overnight travel by AC Volvo coach to and from Dharamshala.
  • This is not a typical sightseeing tour; sightseeing is limited and the main focus is trekking and outdoor learning.
  • Accommodation is basic – in shared tents / simple dormitories – offering a back-to-basics, close-to-nature experience.
  • Washrooms and other facilities are simple and functional, in line with camping conditions, not hotel or resort standards.

Itinerary

DAY 01: Fly to Delhi, Proceed to Dharamshala. 
Board the flight from Pune to Delhi. Upon arrival, proceed to Dharamshala by AC Volvo coach on an overnight journey through the foothills of the Himalayas.

DAY 02: Dharamshala - Base Camp near Village Salli (6070 ft)
Reach Dharamshala in the morning and proceed by local coach to the base camp near Village Salli (approximately a 45‑minute drive).
On arrival, tent allocation is followed by freshening up and breakfast. Post breakfast, there will be an introduction to the camp team, an orientation session on safety norms, and an acclimatisation walk to a nearby village to help participants adjust to the climate and surroundings.
After lunch, the group will take part in adventure activities such as Burma Bridge, Zipline and Commando Net under expert supervision. In the evening, there will be time to explore the surroundings, followed by soup, dinner and a campfire. Overnight stay in tents at the base camp.

DAY 03: Trek To Camp 1 at Handi Forest (7874 ft) (3 hrs) 
Wake‑up call, followed by a round of warm‑up exercises to prepare for the day’s trek. After a healthy breakfast, the group will set out on an easy‑paced trek to Camp 1 at Handi Forest (around 3 hours), walking through forested terrain and gradually gaining altitude.
On reaching the campground, participants will be welcomed with a refreshing drink, followed by lunch, campsite orientation and tent allocation.
In the afternoon, they will explore the surrounding forest and try the adventure activity of River Crossing, conducted with full safety gear and guidance. Evening at leisure, followed by dinner. Overnight stay in tents at Handi Forest camp.

DAY 04: Trek To Rehla Camp 2 (9843 ft) (4 hrs) 
Post breakfast, trek from Handi Forest up to Camp 2 at Rehla. Reach the campsite by lunchtime and take in one of the most spectacular views of the Dhauladhar Himalayan range. A refreshing drink is served on arrival. After lunch, there is a campsite orientation and tent allocation. Spend the evening exploring the serene forest surroundings and enjoying the peace of the high‑altitude campsite. Overnight stay in tents at Rehla camp.Overnight stay at Rehla camp.

DAY 05: Trek to Kareri Lake (9626 ft) (6 to 7 hrs)
Post breakfast, the group will set out on a height‑gain day trek to Kareri Lake. The trail winds through alpine meadows and rocky paths, leading to the beautiful high‑altitude Kareri Lake, with spectacular views of the Dhauladhar snow‑covered mountains from the top.
A simple meal (packed lunch) will be provided at or near the lake, as per conditions. After spending time at Kareri Lake, taking in the views and clicking photographs, the group will trek back down to Rehla camp by evening.
On return, evening tea and snacks will be served, followed by soup, dinner and a campfire.

DAY 06: Descend To Base Camp Via Handi Forest Camp (4 hrs)
Post breakfast, the group will begin the descent from Rehla, trekking back to the base camp near Salli Village via Handi Forest. The route offers one last chance to enjoy the forest trails and views before returning to the valley.
Arrive at base camp around lunchtime, followed by tent allocation and rest. In the evening, there will be a certificate and souvenir distribution ceremony to recognise each participant’s successful completion of the trek, followed by soup, dinner and a campfire. DAY 07 : Dharamshala & McLeodganj Sightseeing – Depart for Delhi
Wake‑up call followed by breakfast. After breakfast, the group will get ready for the camp closing and departure.
Proceed to Dharamshala and McLeodganj by coach for local sightseeing and shopping. Depending on time and conditions, visits may include key attractions such as the HPCA Cricket Stadium, Norbulingka Institute and local markets. In the evening, the group will board the AC Volvo coach for the overnight journey back to Delhi.

DAY 08: Arrival at Delhi - Return journey by flight
Arrive at Delhi early in the morning. Transfer to the airport and board the return flight to Pune with memorable experiences of Dharamshala, the Dhauladhar range and the Kareri Lake trek.
