Overview

Recommended for age group: 10 – 12 years

Forest Trails Mahabaleshwar by Foliage Outdoors is a 4-day nature and discovery camp set in the misty forests and valleys of the Western Ghats. Designed for children ages 10 to 12, this camp blends forest trails, history, geography, and fun into one unforgettable summer experience.

Children explore lush green forests, walk to stunning viewpoints, and learn the basics of responsible travel through interactive Leave No Trace sessions. A visit to Old Mahabaleshwar helps them understand how five major rivers originate here, while scenic valley trails reveal the rugged birthplace of the Solshi River.

The camp also immerses children in history with a guided visit to Pratapgad Fort and Umrath Village, the birthplace of Tanaji Malusare. Stories of Maratha bravery come to life as campers walk through ancient ramparts and visit memorials to Tanaji Malusare and Shelar-mama.

Comfortable dormitory-style accommodation, supervised forest walks, engaging games, and a friendly camp routine help participants make new friends, build confidence, and return home with a deeper appreciation for nature. The camp concludes on a sweet note with a visit to a Honey Collection & Research Centre and a farewell lunch at Mapro Garden.

So why wait? Book your spot on the Forest Trails Mahabaleshwar Camp and let your child discover the magic of the Sahyadris!
