The panoramic Sal forests, expansive grassy meadows and teeming wildlife make a visit to Kanha an experience to remember. Kanha is not only one of the best places to watch the Tiger, but also the native ground of the Barasingha. Other mammals like the Leopard, Sloth Bear, Wild Dog, Wild Boar, Chital, Jackal, and Indian Gaur are also found in this forest. Itinerary

Day 1 : Pune - Mumbai - Jabalpur
Report at Pune railway station. Departure to Mumbai CSTM by train at 0750 hours. Reach Mumbai at 1115 hours and have lunch. Proceed to Jabalpur by train at 1330 hours. Have dinner aboard the train. Overnight train journey.

Day 2 : Jabalpur - Bhedaghat - Kanha
Arrival at Jabalpur by 0600 hours. Visit Dhuandhar waterfall near Bhedaghat. Breakfast at Jabalpur and then proceed to Kanha by AC vehicles. Reach Kanha by 1300 hours. Lunch and rest. Post lunch, participants will get to know each other in an introduction session. This will be followed by an interactive orientation session to get introduced to the beautiful forest of Kanha. Overnight stay at Kanha.

Day 3 : Safaris at Kanha
Explore different parts of Kanha on morning and evening safaris. A knowledge - sharing session with the group in the evening, in addition to a special screening of a wildlife documentary, to know more about the wildlife seen during the first two safaris. Overnight stay at Kanha.

Day 4 : Safaris at Kanha
Two more safaris into the depths of Kanha to explore the forest and implement the knowledge gained in the previously conducted sessions. This will be followed by a one-to-one interaction with local nature enthusiasts, to learn about the endemic wildlife. A Group Discussion about the safaris in the evening, where participants will discuss the various aspects of nature conservation and protection. Overnight stay at Kanha.

Day 5 : Nature Trail, Kanha - Jabalpur - Mumbai
Early morning wake - up call. Nature trail session to get acquainted with lesser fauna and flora of the region and an opportunity to take practical field notes, based on scientific methods of observation. Departure to Jabalpur after lunch. Board the train at 1930 hours. Have dinner aboard the train. Overnight train journey.

Day 6 : Mumbai - Pune
Arrival at Mumbai CSTM at 1215 hours.
Proceed to Pune by train at 1430 hours. Reach Pune Station by 1840 hours.

Lady Instructor or Girl Volunteer:
