Each day unfolds a new chapter of discovery: unravel the history of Fort Rangana, observe wildlife on a thrilling night safari, trek to a hidden waterfall, and delve into the fascinating geology of a secret cave.

What Participants Will Learn
The Patgaon Jungle Camp is designed to be an enriching experience where young naturalists develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural world, while also building valuable life skills.
Participants will learn to: - Identify local flora and fauna: Through guided treks and observation, campers will learn to recognise various plant species, insects, birds, and animal tracks found in the Sahyadri mountains.
- Understand ecological concepts: Campers will gain insights into forest ecosystems, biodiversity, and the interconnectedness of living organisms.
- Navigate and explore safely: They will learn basic trekking techniques, map reading, and how to safely explore natural environments.
- Practice responsible tourism and conservation: The camp emphasises leaving no trace, respecting wildlife, and understanding the importance of preserving natural habitats.
- Develop observational skills: Activities like birdwatching and night safaris will hone their ability to observe and interpret natural phenomena.
- Appreciate local history and culture: Exploring Fort Rangana will provide a historical context to the region and its significance.

Day 1: Pune to Campsite - Settle at Campsite and Visit to Sunset Point
Report at the Foliage Outdoors office and depart at 6:30 am for the campsite by a private chartered vehicle. Breakfast and lunch will be en route. Reach the campsite by 3:30 pm. Upon reaching the destination, acquaint yourself with the campsite surroundings, followed by an engaging interactive session with fellow campers. Take a short walk to view the beautiful Setting Sun. Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 2: Visit and Explore Fort Rangana
The day starts early as we get ready for a trek to the rarely-visited Fort Rangana. Explore the fort and learn about its intriguing history. This imposing fort is also a great place to observe soaring Eagles and other birds of prey. The stunning backdrop of the Konkan region adds to the beauty of this unique experience. Return to the campsite for lunch. As the sun sets, head out for a Thrilling Night Safari in the forests surrounding the region. Return to the camp for Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3: Nature Trail and Cave Exploration
Post breakfast, unwind on a serene nature trail around the campsite, surrounded by lush greenery and the sweet melody of nature. Discover hidden wonders, breathe fresh air, and reconnect with the natural world. Break for lunch. Post lunch, drive through the thick evergreen forest. A small trek leads to a hidden cave. Learn about the unique Geology of this area as we explore the cave and other geographical features of this site. Witness the setting sun and enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the hill. Return to the campsite. The evening will be spent doing a reflective session on the day's exploration. Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4: Forest Trek leading to a Secret Waterfall
This day is the highlight of this camp. We will trek through a dense evergreen forest that ensures a shaded pathway for the day’s walk. Our destination is a Secret Waterfall hidden inside this evergreen forest. The sight of this active waterfall, will leave the participants awestruck. Enjoy a picnic lunch amid nature. Return to the campsite. The day concludes with a captivating storytelling session around a campfire, creating a memorable atmosphere. Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5: Camp closing ceremony - Return to Pune
Post breakfast, pack your bags and immerse in the closing ceremony of the camp. The journey back to Pune includes a lunch stop. Post-lunch, resume the journey towards Pune, cherishing the knowledge gained and memories created during your wild adventure in the region of Fort Rangana. Reach the Foliage Outdoors office by evening, concluding a journey filled with exploration.

- Mineral water / cold drinks during the journey or at the campsite. (The camp serves Filtered Water for the entire duration of the stay)
