Situated about 65 km from Pune, the Tamhini area has been a favorite hotspot for nature lovers. The Tamhini area has some dense evergreen forests offering good opportunities for bird watching. The sacred Grove behind the Vinzai Devi temple is surely worth a visit. Tamhini is also home to some beautiful monsoon flora. A trail through the 'Devrai' can reveal some interesting variety of Plants, Ferns, and Fungi etc.
About The Trek :
An easy trek which requires approx 3hrs of walking in the entire day.
The total distance covered is approx 4kms.A wonderful trekking route in the monsoons, it offers excellent views of verdant valleys, cascading waterfalls and evergreen forests.

0630 hrs : Reporting at a Pre - decided place 0700 hrs : Proceed to Tamhini by chartered vehicle( Packed Breakfast ) 0930 hrs : Reach start point and start the trek 1200 hrs : Reach Tamhini village for lunch. ( Veg and Non-Veg Buffet Style ) 1230 hrs : Lunch and rest for sometime 1400 hrs : Nature Trail & Group Games 1615 hrs : Have tea and snacks. 1700 hrs : Leave for Pune. 1900 hrs : Reach Pune.
