Overview

Stands 12 km from Lonavala, and is very popular amongst hikers. The cliff owes its name to the Duke of Wellington, whose ample nose it resembles.The pinnacle is also known as Nagphani. The trekker onboards shall be rewarded with amazing views of the Mumbai-Pune road and rail corridors, as well as great views of Khandala and the surrounding Sahyadri peaks viz. Rajmachi, Korigad, TelBaila, Lohagad, Visapur, Tung. Thus, the Duke’s Nose Trek is quite a hit amongst trekking enthusiasts.

Itinerary

0600 hrs : Reporting at a pre decided place
0630 hrs : Proceed to Khandala by a private bus ( Packed Breakfast Enroute )
0900 hrs : Reach Khandala & Start the trek
1230 hrs : Reach the top of Duke's Nose and have packed lunch at the top.
1330 hrs : Leave for Kurvande Village for evening tea and snacks
1500 hrs : Start for Pune.
1800 hrs : Reach Pune
