Overview

Tikona also known as Vitandgad is the dominant hill fort in Maval in western India. It is located near Kamshet around 60 kms from Pune, the village nearest the fort is called Tikona-Peth or Tokono-Peth. The 3,500 ft., high hill is pyramidal in shape and the name Tikona means "triangle."

The fort is a trekking destination noted for the large doors, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', a water tank and some Satvahan caves.

Itinerary

0630 hrs : Reporting at a Pre-Decided Place

0700 hrs : Leave for Fort Tikona. ( Breakfast Enroute ) (Travel time 1.5 hrs. From Pune)

0900 hrs : Reach base of Fort and start the trek.

1030 hrs : Reach top of the Fort and explore the fort.

1130 hrs : Start Descending.

1230 hrs : Reach base of the Fort.

1230 hrs : Proceed to the campsite for lunch. ( Veg and Non-Veg buffet style)   

1430 hrs : Assemble for a session of Team Building Games/ Nature Trail/ Leisure time. 

1630 hrs : Evening Hi tea  and snacks.

1700 hrs : Leave towards Pune.

1900 Hrs : Reach Pune.
