Jim Corbett is a name that commands awe and respect from the diverse strata of the society. The Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve is a tribute to the great hunter-turned-naturalist, whose study of the tiger remains unparalleled. The impressive Sal forests and the huge grasslands (Chaurs) provide a great opportunity to watch the abundant wildlife from close quarters. The Ramganga river which flows through the park is also home to some rare species like the Gharial, Marsh Crocodile and the Otter. Over 550 species of birds, including many uncommon varieties can be spotted here.

Pangot is a birdwatcher's Paradise. A quaint village is hidden away within the Kumaon hilly region, magical forests echoing calls and songs of hundreds of winged wonders with little trails that disappear into sunlit glades. It is peaceful and quiet, offering a perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life. Considered among the finest birding areas in India. Cheer Pheasant, Whiskered Yuhina, Lammergeier, Himalayan Griffon, Blue-winged Minla, Rufous-bellied Woodpecker, Rufous-bellied Niltava and Khalij pheasant, Rufous Sibia are just a few of the winged wonders that can be spotted here. Mixed forests dominated by thick ban-oak, pine and rhododendron cover most of the area and surrounding hills and also offer chances to spot animals like Yellow-throated Marten, Himalayan Goral and if you get lucky, the elusive Leopard as well. Pangot is an absolute delight for every budding nature enthusiast!
