Har Ki Dun is blessed with a natural beauty that offers some stunning and panoramic views of the snow clad mountain peaks. The less explored and sparsely populated region is a paradise for trekkers and nature lovers alike and boasts of some amazing flora and fauna.     Itinerary

    Day 1 : Fly to Delhi airport - Overnight Travel to Dehradun
    Late evening flight to Delhi. Proceed to Dehradun by a chartered AC bus. Overnight bus journey to Dehradun.

    Day 2 : Dehradun - Base Camp at Sankri 
    Early morning arrival at Dehradun. We will board our chartered vehicle and be driven up to Sankri. Your journey for the most part will be along the Yamuna and Tons river through beautiful Pine forests. Lunch enroute. Reach Sankri by evening followed by briefing of the trek. Dinner and overnight stay at Sankri in Homestay.

    Day 3 : Drive from Sankri - Taluka (Travel time: 45 mins) - Trek to Camp 1: Gangar (Trek time : 5 to 6 hours)
    Post breakfast, we board our vehicles for a short drive which will take us to the start point of our trek at Taluka village. Today, our hike will be through the beautiful forest along the Supin river. Reach camp 1 at Gangar in the afternoon for lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Gangar in Homestay.

    Day 4 : Trek from Camp 1: Gangaar to Camp 2: Kalkatti Dhar (Trek time : 5 to 6 hours)
    We continue along the Supin River, cross Osla Village and stay at Kalkatti Dhar. In this route, you will find a village that is old and has a unique culture called Osla. On the left side of the trek route, right in the village is  Someshwar Temple made of wood and has an elaborate chattri on top. Reach our campsite at Kalkatti Dhar set in a picturesque location. Dinner and overnight stay at Kalkatii Dhar in tents.

    Day 5 : Trek from Camp 2: Kalkatti Dhar to Camp 3: Har Ki Dun  (Trek time : 3 to 4 hours)
    Post an early breakfast, we start towards Har Ki Dun, the valley of gods. Today we get ample opportunities to explore the forest and its birdlife. Our hike through the forests and meadows keeps offers us with fabulous views of Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini peaks while waterfalls and streams keep us company. Have packed lunch enroute. Reach Har Ki Dun by late afternoon. Reach campsite at Har Ki Dun set next to a river. Dinner and overnight stay at Har Ki Dun in tents.

    Day 6 : Trek from Camp 3: Har Ki Dun to Hata Valley and back (Trek time : 5 to 6 hours)
    Wake up to the sound of birds chirping accompanied by the majestic views of the Himalayas. Today, we will explore Murinda lake in the first half of the day with an opportunity to be "in the snow". 

    We are amidst the towering mountain ranges of Kalanag, Bandarpoonch, Ruinsara peaks and the majestic Swargarohini. For those with an appetite for more, explore very beautiful Hata Valley. Enjoy a packed lunch and return to the campsite at Har Ki Dun in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Har Ki Dun in tents.

    Day 7 : Trek from Camp 3: Har Ki Dun to Camp 4: Osla (Trek time : 6 to 7 hours)
    Post breakfast, we retrace our steps to Osla village. Reach Osla by lunch. Evening will be spent exploring the ancient temples and learning about the local culture of Osla village. Dinner and overnight stay at Osla in Homestay.

    Day 8 : Trek from Camp 4: Osla to Taluka (Trek time : 5 to 6 hours) - Drive from Taluka - Sankri (Travel time: 45 mins)
    Post an early breakfast, trek back to Taluka village. Here we board our vehicle to drive back to our base camp in Sankri. Packed lunch enroute. Reach Sankri by late afternoon and rest. Evening will be spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Sankri in Homestay.

    Day 9 : Sankri - Dehradun - Depart for Delhi
    Post breakfast, leave for Dehradun. Lunch enroute. Reach Dehradun by evening. Travel overnight to Delhi by AC bus.

    Day 10 : Arrival at Delhi and return journey by flight
    Early morning arrival in Delhi and transfer to Delhi airport. Return journey by flight.

    Inclusions/Exclusions

    What is included in the tour

    • Charges for air travel from Mumbai/Pune to Delhi and back.
    • Delhi - Dehradun - Delhi travel by AC Chartered bus.
    • Dehradun to Sankri and back travel by non ac transport.
    • Food charges for entire duration of camp (except at the airport).
    • Accommodation at all campsites on multiple sharing basis. (Separate tents for boys and girls) as mentioned above.
    • Porter/mule charges for carrying luggage of 08 Kgs per student during trek.
    • All entry charges.
    • Travel Insurance for every participant.

    What is NOT included in the tour

    • Mineral water bottle / cold drinks / beverages during journey or at the campsite.
    • Personal expenditure of any kind (Porterage, Telephone, Laundry, Room service, etc if applicable).
    • Medical Expenses if any / if incurred.
    • Optional / Add on / Extra activity charges.
