Lodged in the lap of the lofty cliffs, the campsite at Kamshet lies close to the backwaters of the Thokarwadi Dam. The backdrop of dense forest offers an additional element of intrigue.  

Enjoy the thrill of adventure activities like flying fox, rappelling, zip-line, go trekking to an ancient cave and a wide range of exciting group games. Participants also get to learn valuable outdoor survival skills that will be immensely useful for future camping trips.

    Itinerary

    Day 1 : Pune to Campsite - Informative Sessions in outdoors
    Report at Foliage Outdoors office on Karve Road at 0700 hours. Leave from Pune at 0730 hours. Reach the campsite and have breakfast. Introduction to campsite, followed by an interactive session to get introduced to fellow campers. Lunch, followed by rest. Orientation session regarding overall plan of activities for the entire duration of camp.

    In the evening, enjoy an informative session on “leave no trace” principles of the outdoors and introduction to adventure gear and its applications. Overnight stay at the campsite.

    Day 2 :  Adventure Activities 
    Post breakfast, trek through a forest to reach the base of Kambre caves.
    After gearing up with equipment, climb up to reach the ancient cave.
    Explore the cave and rappel down to the base. Return to the campsite for lunch.
    Post lunch and rest, get set to enjoy the thrill of zip-line till evening.
    Free time followed by Dinner. Overnight stay at the campsite.

    Day 3 : Nature Trail - Team Building Activities - Kayaking  
    Wake up and leave for a nature trail around the campsite. Post breakfast, get ready to enjoy a series of team building activities with your new friends. Break for lunch and rest. In the evening, suit up with life jackets and enjoy kayaking.
    Free time followed by Dinner. Overnight stay at the campsite.

    Day 4 : First aid session - Survival night out 
    Kick start your day with power packed breakfast and undergo a session on basic first aid techniques in the wilderness. Lunch and rest followed by planning and packing for a survival night out. Find out what it takes to survive in the great outdoors and let the explorer in you surface! Leave on a trek and get a taste of survival camping in the great outdoors. After setting up the campsite, bring out the MasterChef within you and try your hand at tasty dishes in an outdoor cooking session.Overnight stay in tents.

    Day 5 : Return to the base camp - Evening at the lake
    Wake up and freshen-up. Make tea and start winding the campsite following the “leave no trace” principles learnt earlier. Start the descent to the base campsite. Reach the campsite and have breakfast. Post breakfast, time for freshening up until lunch. Post lunch, head out to the lake and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Free time followed by Dinner. Overnight stay at the campsite.

    Day 6 : Raft building - Rowing - Reflection of the camp
    Post breakfast, learn to make rafts out of bamboo and tubes in a guided raft building activity followed by rowing the same rafts in the lake.
    Lunch and rest. Evening will be spent in reflection of the camp followed.
    Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.

    Day 7 : Nature trail at the lake -  Camp closing - Return to Pune
    Wake up and leave for a nature trail along the lake. Return to the campsite for breakfast followed by free time for packing. Have lunch, enjoy the camp closing ceremony and click group pictures with your new friends.
    Leave from the campsite for Pune. Reach Pune by 1730 hrs.

    What is included in the tour

    • Pune to Pune escorted trip.
    • Stay for 5 nights in tents with attached toilets on multiple sharing basis.
      (Separate tents for Girls and Boys.)
    • Stay for 1 night in alpine tents.
    • Pune - Campsite - Pune travel by a private chartered bus.
    • All adventure activities mentioned in the itinerary.
    • Survival and Life skill activity of Raft Making and Rowing.
    • Food charges for the entire duration of camp (Pune to Pune).

    What is NOT included in the tour

    • Mineral water / cold drinks during journey or at the campsite.

    A strong, qualified, and professional team trained in medicine and safety protocol accompanies your child. We have a standing ratio of no more than 10 : 1 (Participants : Instructor), to ensure complete safety and comfort of our participants. All our team members undertake refresher course at regular intervals and have hands-on experience in dealing with various situations.

    Lady Instructor or Girl Volunteer:
    All our camps have at least one Lady Instructor to take care of all our girl participants

    First Aid and Medical back-up facility:
    In case of an emergency, our team is trained to provide first aid and CPR. All camps are well-connected to the nearest hospital and some have doctors-on-call as well.
