Overview

Nestled in the lower southern reaches of the Satpura hills, the park is named after Pench river which flows from North to South through the National Park. A total of 760 sq. kms. of land, and core area being 292 sq km, it is a mix of moist deciduous and dry deciduous Teak forest. The sprawling Pench reservoir at the center of the park and is a major water source. Believed to be Mowgli's Land, the forest abounds with wildlife and is home to a great variety of wildlife. The herbivore numbers are especially exciting. The main wildlife includes Tiger, Leopard, Jungle Cat, Striped Hyenas, Wild Dog, Wolf, Jackals, Sloth Bear, Pangolin, Mongoose, Wild Boar, Gaur, Blue Bull, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Barking Deer, Porcupine etc. The park is also home to around 250 species of birds, with an amazing variety of raptors itself making it a birder's paradise.

  • Talent show based on nature conservation along with screening of wildlife documentary at Pench.

  • Our in house experts will be taking a session on Camera Trapping techniques and students will get a hands-on experience of the same as they will install these cameras in a jungle and will record the findings.

  • Apart from this the thrill of jungle safari is itself an action where they will be learning all aspects of nature in a well-planned gypsy safari in the core area of Pench Tiger Reserve.

  • Interaction with local students and recording their interviews with the help of a questionnaire. Here there are multiple things that can be planned, we will be having a small informal talent show wherein both the school students will get involved in a discussion that will aid cultural exchange.
